Pennzoil Platinum synthetic 5W20. Mopar 899 filter. Wally world always has them cheapest.

Just switched to Castrol Edge 5W-20 and Amsoil EAO48 oil filter.....expensive but, seems to run smoother....Also switched to Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-140 in the rear axel housing...supposed to be the best. We'll see, tomorrow is dyno day! : )

Finally, last week I did an oil changed with 2145 miles. Took Chrsitine and got a great oil and a great filter. Got Mobil One synthetic oil for sports cars. It was a little expensive, but the dealer I bought her from sent me a free oil change and I will take her there when the time is right. Probably not until 12,000 miles and they can rotate the tires and check the front end alignment. That comes under warranty, the oil change and tire rotation is free!

I'm planning on trying Mobil 1 synthetic with gold cap. My challenger only has 1,200 on it, but I have read good reviews on this particular brand of synthetic motor oil. I prefer only the best for my prized toy.

I would definitely recommend waiting for your first oil change to switch from conventional. I went to synthetic at 500 miles and it seemed to take forever until my engine loosened up and started making power.

I'm planning on using Mobil 1 with the gold cap, when my first oil change comes around. I have heard great reviews on this particular brand of oil. My 2nd choice would probably be Royal Purple, due to the brand of oil that is used in our fleet vehicles. The mechanics swear by it, and claim there is less engine wear. I personally think it's a little pricey...

All the good synthetics are expensive but worth it. I hammer on my car more than the average driver, I drag race it, have run the Texas Mile in it, not to mention beating the hell out of it driving it to Kentucky and back 4 years in a row. I have almost 35K on it and very very few of those miles have been nice ones. Having RP in the crank case gives me one less thing to worry about when I accidentally bounce off the rev limiter lol whoops.

Drove a 2006 Chevy Colorado for the past eight years. Started it out on Synthetic 5w20 Mobile One, just got my 2010 Challenger se, had 38,000 miles.Changed oil to Mobile One, why? Because it's the best! Sold the Colorado to my son, 188,000 still runs like a sewing machine..
