WOW!! :bigwow: things just keep getting better. I hope there are more things to learn about the SE cars. ;)
Dave,
I would like to add a few things more that would specifically for SE model.

Most of what I have is R/T, SRT related and I would like to expand some tips
to SE models. IF you think of a couple of technical items that you feel other
SE owners would benefit from knowing, send them along to me and I will
place this in the listing.

Happy Modding Everyone!

Got a couple more for you.

---
With the Nav radio - You can program your destination, and begin route, with one button press.
Press Voice Command button
Say "Navigation" (doesn't show as option on screen) or "Main Menu" then "Navigation"
follow prompts and use voice commands to finish programming and beginning route.

---
This may be more of an addition or addendum to existing tip.
With the Super Track Pak on the R/T J or R/T Classic, no key trick is needed to get full off ESP. While in park, press and hold ESP off button till system chimes - and shows ESP Deactivated in EVIC.

Ahh you kids and your new toys, thanks for the Nav tip Dave, my tip is to use my iPhones nav, that voice on the car just got annoying! My all-time favorite trick from the forums, was the rolling windows down with keyfob! Never gets old/fun to teach new owners! I got one not on any lists; to fold-down back of rear seat flat, remove the seat lower part! Mines been in my closet since Sept.,08!

And the keyfob window "trick" is documented in the manual  :readthemanual:

Yep, should have read that, since the owners manual for the entire car, is much smaller than the Mygig manual, sheesh!
Unless you get both the old manual, and the new manual and DVD, along with both cases, the old cloth one and the new slim leather one :D

I just wanted to encourage everybody to utilize tip 43

- ETC Throttle Calibration/Characterization

This made a noticeable difference in my stock R/T 6spd drivabilty. I noticed more light throttle response in just ordinary driving. Seemed smoother too. (from rolling out of the driveway) Also a smoother coast down to a stop with less driveline clunk and/or jerk. Not that there was a lot of this, or even a little. Noticeable, maybe in a parking lot or neighborhood sometimes. I am hyper sensitive to things like this. I didn't test full throttle because I have no baseline for this. Not sure what you automatic guys will experience, but well worth the 20 secs to perform.

Happy Motoring! and Mopar 2 yah!

Hey,

Just reading through the tips n noticed an error about the can bus (Tip 89)

It calls CAN the Cabin Area Network but its actually Controller Area Network.

not a biggy but the one that should really be updated it the speed.

It states:
3. CAN-B Bus (83.3kb) low speed.
but its 83.3kb in 05-07 lx's and its actually 125kb in 08-present lx/lc (so our challengers)

BCasey;

Thanks for the feedback. The Cabin Area Network is a SAE generic term
for the same thing across multiple automotive platforms, but I will make the
change to make it more specific to terminology used in the Dodge LC
(P/N 81-270-09041-CD) 2009 Service Information release.

Referring back to the previous documentation, the low speed CAN-B system speed
of 83.3khz is clearly described in section;

-Electrical (Section 08)
-Electronic Control Modules
-Standard Procedure
-Communication Description (High and Low speed CAN bus)

IF you can provide me with a reference section to validate your CAN-B bus speed, I will
be most happy to update the description to reflect the updated information.

Thanks and best regards.

hmm i can't provide "proof" i guess but just from reading can bus programming web sites ive read it to be true.

unfortunately I just sold my CAN USB device to plug the car into a laptop so I can't even verify.

I'll see if I can dig anything up
