Just got an email from my wife saying that the Air wont get cold. Said that the fan is blowing only. I thought about the fuse maybe. I will get her to check that tomorrow. I HATE trying to fix stuff over the phone.
Any other ideas what it could be? The car is only 3 months old!!!

Is she pushing the knob to turn on the compressor? Tell her it lights up when it's on, the recycle feature lights up too.

Yes, she said that they are both on. She looked in the guide book to make sure she was doing it right. She even lifted the hood to see if she could hear the compressor kicking on & off. Didn't hear anything.

AC in january? it's 31*F over here.
Maybe she is very hot natured!!!!
While I thinking about it. To insert the degree symbol ° "press & hold Alt then on the key board press 248 & let go" 31°

The weather is never constant in Louisiana. I could be in the 30's in the next day or 2. They always say, if you don't like the weather, just wait a little while it'll change.

Shannon, I think a trip to Greens is in order for Monday if she can swing it. Maybe it's just a switch or relay. Let us know what happens.

Well she checked the two fuses in the trunk. They were good. She cranked it & ran the A/C on high fan without recirculation for 5 minutes (As recommended in the book). Nothing, nadda, zilch.... Just air blowing.
The best thing that I got out of the phone call was listening to it crank & them magnaflows perr. Got chills all over.
I told here about bringing it to Greens. She'll be off from work on Thursday. Hopefully then.
Dave, who's the man to talk to there? I don't know anybody at the place.

My wife took the car in today to Green's. They told her that is was an O-ring in the A/C system that got pinched & bled all of the coolent out. It's happened on other cars they said. They didn't have the part to fix it. Won't be there til Monday.

Glad to hear it's a minor problem. Since the 134a has all leaked out, there is the chance moisture will try to creep in. They will evacuate the system which will create a vacuum sufficient to "dry" the system out and help accept the refrigerant.

glad to hear thats all it was, friend of mine bought a 300 about 5 years ago and had nothing but problems with the AC from day one, he took it in about 10 different times and they could never get to the bottom of it
even after nearly replacing everything in the system.

he ended up trading it in on a new caddy and chrysler lost another lifetime customer.

Geeess! I hope I don't have that kind of problems. Apparently it's happend to others because when I spoke with the Service Mgr. on monday he said that's probably what it was. And sure enough.... Looks like it should be reported to the factory & something done about it.

I'm sure if they get enough duplicate complaints it will get some attention at the top. The '09's had their "bugs" as well. Gotta love mass production.

When is it gonna warm up?
The service manager said that he had the part in to make the repair, but couldn't do it until it warmed up some. :waiting:
