Challenger plastic problems

Ive posted up to ask if the challengers rear black plastic trim around the tail lights has discolored on peoples cars. Got people saying it was soap residue, and other dumb answers.....As well as the front dash in front of the passenger seat sinking were the air bag is located.

Well took it back to the dealership and got them both replaced. They gave me a little BS on the rear tail light plastic. Than I told them I know of over 400 plus owners of this car and there not complaining of this and I em, so fix it!:waiting:

:whistle:Parts came in and it all better now:pray:

So if this is happened to your Challenger they'll fix the problem with a little:nutkick:

My black cars rear bumper/facia looks like heck sometimes in the sun/summer sitting at shows, but always resumes it position when it cools I've noticed. The problem with the dash tho, are u talking about the horizontal surface ABOVE the airbag? I checked after your last post bout that, and it looks like it is sinking into a square pattern?

:neener:Hahhhaaaaa You've got it too!!!!!!

Yes the flat surface on the dash, about the size of a shoe box. Is the area were it holds the air bag. That's the same spot were we had our problem.

Bring it back to the Dealership and have them replace the Dash Board. While its their have them change out your rear Black plastic trim around your tail lights.

We called Ahead and told them to order those parts, so we didnt have to make the 10 minute drive:waiting:

Whaz up Mr. Bee & Jerri, hope to see you guys soon!:waving:
I noticed my passenger side this morning... sunk in a little. imma have to have it looked at once I get back to Killeen. Last time I went to the dealership here... well, let's just say they totaly suck to put it NICELY
Haven't noticed anything on the dash but I always have a sun visor up when parked in sun for extended time. TX sun can be brutal!

As for the black trim, been using the 303 Aerospace stuff to protect and keep it looking good.
Sniper, what's the 303 Aerospace stuff?
Its a vinyl/plastic protectant/cleaner u can find in some auto parts stores. I just use Turtlewax Ice, shines, protects all surfaces, and doesn't cloud on black cars, as some waxes takes more effort to decloud on black. Wish this stuff had been around in '92, had a black truck, never found a wax wasn't a RPITA to polish! Also it doesn't leave colored film in the gaps, great stuff!
