Chrysler will be the only U.S. automaker to advertise in this year's Super Bowl, forking over millions of dollars to restore its image following its bankruptcy and the federal bailout that followed.

Man I'm with u there! Plus when I saw that commercial bout the MDS being a semi-Hemi, I like to busted my gut laughing, cause the SE threads last year had decided the 3.5 was a semi-Hemi and I post" oh lord u are warping some of my brothers, can see the S/H emblems already!" my thought was, someone in advertising were getting ideas from the forums, just not the GOOD ones,LOL! Still remember that lead red Challenger in the line of Chrysler/Dodge cars/trucks one of the only two commercials I've ever seen!

I have never seen a commercial with a Challenger in it. Are there any?
I remember the HEMI threads from another forum and while the 3.5 does have hemispherical heads it is not what chrysler markets as their HEMI.

Ive seen one that compared the 70's one with the new one, but I think it was a YouTube clip someone had posted. The only one I ever saw on tv, was the one when they first started the EPP, had a string of all red cars/trucks running down the hiway in an aerial shot, lead by THE car! Saw it maybe twice, think that kinda contributed to the confusion on EPP, since some dealers said the Challenger wasn't supposed to be part of it! Think some agrued it was missleading advertising to get it, either way it was quickly pulled, never saw it again!

Hmm guess I missed that. Too bad because it sounds like it would have looked cool.
I'll probably watch the SB this year just for the commercials (Rams fan...:() so will be interested to see the Chrysler spot.

I'm not sure this commercial is going to be well received. Everyone is so critical of Super Bowl ads - picking the "winning" ad, rating them on how funny, unique, clever, etc.
If it isn't an awesome commercial, it could backfire, as many people will just claim it was a waste of money - tax payer money.

I hope it is an awesome commercial - but have doubts it will be.

btw, this is the only one I have seen
