Ghost,
that came out pretty damn nice, i hope you did a step by step to help others with the S/E.
by the way, how did you attach it to the engine?

I'm not a big believer in REP points but this definitely warrants them.
1. (step by step) YES - every step of the cutout is on the damned camera I can;t load :( - but am making patterns as well for other owners - just pm me)
2. attachement is the reason for the L angle across bottom on front space - already made the brackets - space will be filled with the silver grill and catch can
3. I don't even know WHAT a rep point is - got 30 of them - haven't a CLUE what they are :)
Gotta admit - the cover is PERFECT for those double takes !!!! Looks like it grew there which is what I was aiming for :D

ps - the oil filler hole is filled by a red and chrome cone shaped accessory breather (after I pm'd you about the camera problem - ran out in the rain with the cover/cell phone and left breather on workbench

Beautiful job Ghost, don't you just love it when someone says the word "impossible"? A luthier once told me it wasn't possible to mount a Gibson stop tailpiece and bridge on a Telecaster. Well, the damn guitar is hanging in my uncle's studio!:eek:ldtimer:

my compliments - a luthier is a d-mn hard thing to be
by way - have you read the bordertown series - one of the characters is a luthier AND you have GOT to read "Soul Music" by Terri Pratchett - you will DIE over what happens to the poor guitar maker
Going BACK to junkyards and finding SOMETHING to cover up the butt-ugly area between the fuse box and the front radiator support - looks ugly even on the V-8 s
Got something in mind from a Mazda

Can you tell me where you got that cover? I would like something for Christine. that would look cool on her like it does on your S/E. I would aprreciate it!

thanks,
Dave
he took 2 5.7L engine covers from R/T's and made it Dave. took some customizing to get it to work. but that is what he had to have to start with.

Dave,
Thanks for heads up! I like what he did on his car. There are some plans on here for me to look at and think about. Your help has been tremendous!

Thanks,
