Go-wing ---> hate it

am i the only one that hates the go-wing rear spoiler. to me, it looks like a generic part that JC Whitney sells. fits every and any car. i didn't like them in 1970 and still hate that look. i know a lot of you guys love it, but it's just not for me.

now, the modern T/A style spoiler looks good, but i still think my car looks best nude.

it seems every SE challenger has as added spoiler except mine.

I kind of agree... I'm not big on the Go Wing, but the regular spoiler adds a bit of muscle car look. Gotta say though, yours looks pretty tough without one.
I have the flip tail on mine, one of the first things I did to it. but I am leaning to the old style go wing. I like how Rich's and Desert Horizon's look. I am just trying to find another deck lid. they are not easy find here in this area.

Still a Challenger is a Challenger and yours looks good too.:thumbupleft:
Duals, SRT8 rims on a SE and your car looks sharp. Me , myself, and other love the Go wing!! Just got a standard OEM spoiler myself, wanted Go wing but no money! Got it for free, and cant beat free.
I sort of put go-wings in the category of if Dodge doesn't force me to buy a car with one, then I don't have to decide to take it off. If someone wants to put one on their car, that is their business. It is a particular look and on some Challengers come out great and others, less than great. The car needs a coordinated design theme and color combination.

Your clean trunk line is fine. I like the standard spoiler which just changes body lines to the eye. If someone gets a go-wing coordinated with color and other changes they can look outstanding. I will say that a lot of them look like they were purchased from J. C. Whitney and just stuck on. I pull up the tuner kid image rather than MOPAR history, which is probably not fair and highly biased. They have to look integrated.
Personally I am not a fan of the go wing style. It can look OK if as others have posted it's coordinated in with the color and styling of the rest of the car. The stock spoiler looks OK but I prefer the clean, uncluttered look I have now.

With that said though I am considering a four foot tall, three wing spoiler painted neon green with some lazer and neon lighting added in to it. I'll post some pics when it's on.
obviously i am in the category of LOVE IT.....

the 70 go wing that is not that new ricer looking wing
dodge is calling a go wing.
I left it flat black to match the rest of the black items
on the car and think it looks great, to me its just the
right touch.

Now I'm debating on getting the suncoast shaker and
if i do the shaker will be flat black and the hood
inferno red.

Oh man the strobes, I forgot those :doh:yes those will be there too
Dang you Texans are always wanting to hang someone...
Well looks are one thing, I had nothing on mine when purchased, added the SRT spoiler because at high speeds, u could feel the tail lifting. Much more stable with a spoiler, and the added benefit to the go-wing is u can actually SEE it, makes the backing of the car a little easier. The spoilers serve a real function on these cars, why u can't get a v8 model WITHOUT one, they just don't/didn't think our SEs would be going that fast! Mark

I am unwilling to provide any medical confirmation of this statement.
But I guess everything is bigger in Texas.

This is eactly why if I did put a spolier on my SE it would only be for appearance.
I rarely will pop higher than 70-75 mph.

Man u gotta get over 100 at least once, it is amazing how smooth they run! We have some very lovely/lonely/long stretches of roads here, these cars really enjoy! Won't ever post how fast this cars gone, as I've been told it's not possible in an SE!

The operative word was rarely pop over 70-75 mph
:shhh: don't tell my wife
the wife was with me when I did 110mph. Had to shut er down though, was running out of straight road. :neener:
I think it looks great "bare" in black....the GO wing IMPO just doesn't look right...Your car looks awesome!!!!
These cars look so clean without the spoiler if I had an RT I would look at having it removed. S/S your car looks fantastic don't change anything.
