if you are looking for a spare tire for your 09
RT or SE

the challenger spare tire and jack
assembly is the same one used in the 2005 up

Charger
Magnum
300C

just make sure it is the 18x4 spare
and you will be good to go.

i got a spare and jack for a total of
$140 and found that the compressor that
comes with the cars will fit under the spare
tire so i picked up a plug kit also.

Folks,
This is the route I took after I found out that I had received my vehicle
without the spare I "thought" was included in my order. I found it hard
to fathom that Dodge would include a "fix foam" pump setup, which will
only address about 35% of the reasons for flats in the same vehicle with
TPMS sensors (tire pressure sensors) that clearly state do not use
fix-foam type sealants as they will damage them (at $50 ea.)?

I was not a happy camper at that point. I was able to locate a new
mini-spare from a '08 Charger (new) with jack, hold down and lug wrench
shipped for about $200. I just wish I had the lower trunk cavity where
the mini-spare sits a little larger so I could but a standard size 18" wheel
and tire into it. This would make me a happy camper then.

For those who are using a FULL-SIZE wheel/tire for a spare and have it
sitting on the floor of your trunk, you are courting disaster my friend if
if is not secured with a cable or tie-down. The back seats easily fold
down and if you have to brake really hard or have a front-end collision
of any magnitude (air bag deployment), the heavy wheel/tire will come
forward into the cabin area and be lethal, even though the accident is
not.

Think about anything heavy unsecured in the trunk area.

Happy Modding!

I got mine peice by peice. bought the rim from the dealer and the tire from my tire dealer. the rest of the mounting stuff came from the dealer too. Over all cost --- probably around $300. But I do have one now tuck snuggly in my trunk space , jack, tire and lug wrench.
