Dodge has quietly added a new incentive package to the Dodge Challenger R/T and SRT8, effective March 8, 2010.
If the dealer gives the customer $2,000 in Mopar accessories or maintenance contracts, the dealer gets reimbursed by $1,700, making it a shared incentive. The program requires that the customer spend the full $2,000, and service contracts do not appear to be included.
The new program is designed to be subtle, providing incentives without slashing margins or cheapening the cars. Enthusiasts who would normally want to buy extra Mopar accessories can now spend $2,000 without extra charge, increasing the value of the car to the buyer without slamming margins unnecessarily; dealers only have to kick in $300, which might be covered in the profit of selling the accessories.

Mopar's new exterior appearance package is now available as a factory production option. The exterior package includes a unique body-color hood with scoop, body-color rear "Go-Wing" spoiler and strobe stripe performance graphics.
An interior appearance package also is available and includes a Mopar-branded T-handle shifter, bright pedal kit (automatic only), bright door-sill guards, premium carpet floor mats and a full-vehicle cover to protect this prized possession.

This program offers the dealer a cash payment up to $1,700 for MOPAR accessories/parts/merchandise or a service contract when the customer purchases (Type Sale 1 or B) or leases (Type Sale L or E) an eligible vehicle and uses the MOPAR bucks.
DEALERS ARE REQUIRED to CLAIM THIS DEALER CASH PROGRAM.
Eligible vehicles must be delivered by the program end date.
There is no sold order protection for this program.
Failure to show consumer benefit will result in a chargeback. Every participating Chrysler LLC dealer may be subjected to a post program audit.
Vehicles purchased or leased to registered Fleet customers (Type Sales 2, 3, 5 and 6) may be eligible for this program. Refer to Fleet published instructions for further eligibility and details.
All franchised Chrysler LLC dealers who agree to abide by these Official Program Rules are eligible to participate.
The customer is allowed up to $2,000 worth of MOPAR merchandise, performance parts, accessories or a Maintenance Service Contract (exclusively for Challenger). Certain performance parts will not be eligible for reimbursement.
For vehicles that have MOPAR parts factory-installed, the customer may elect to take a credit on these parts (MSRP included on Monroney).
The customer has up to 30 days from date of delivery to use the $2,000 MOPAR Bucks.
The customer must sign the disclosure form when any portion of the MOPAR Bucks is redeemed.
Dealer is reimbursed 85% of the MSRP of options chosen by the customer, up to $1,700.
The Maintenance Service Contract option codes for Challenger are: CP336 and CPS336.
Dealer must claim this Dealer Cash program by inputting 85% of the MSRP of options chosen by the customer.
The entire eligible amount up to $1,700 must be claimed at one time. If there is a customer balance, the dealer must wait 30 days from delivery date for the customer to use that balance before submitting a claim.
The Disclosure Form must be signed by the customer and the dealer and retained in the deal jacket.
