Why even have a tach if there is no redline?

The tach is accurate...hits rev limiter at 5800 rpm...just that Canadian cars didn't get the red line....Chrysler never stops amazing me...Just like the SE "G" package in the US is the "SXT" in Canada....And all PCP Canadian cars are fully loaded Autos.....Makes no sense....

I never did understand the SXT challenger myself since it's basically, like you said, a SE G

take the car into the dealership and tell them "your redline fell off" and you want it warrantied!!! see how many of their guys notice this hahahahahaha

Have to take her in for the battery / cable recall when she's out of storage so maybe I just might see if the dealer has any clue about the "no red line" on Canuck cars....Doubt they do though...:eyeroll:

My SE didn't come with any blinker fluid and the flux capacitor was off.
Yes indeed, the US cars (on the R/T) are painted at 5800 rpm...And yes, if you get the predator you can raise the rev limiter if you like but I wouldn't risk it...Steve

never seen a cluster without the redline, but then again, i've never seen a Canadian version either.
There was no redline on the tach of my 04 Rumble Bee, thought it was cause it was an auto. So I was suprised to see one on my Challenger SE auto. They most likely were just trying to save costs on the use of all the extra ink required to put speedo in KPH or maybe one of the packages was redline delete, for the lowersound group, as they thought u would shift by ear since u bought the cheaper radio, who knows?

I did call my dealership for the missing Redline on my tach, I have an appointment booked for Friday, hahaha the service writer is my buddy and HE didn't even clue in, I'm getting an oilchanges and the visor lights checked, so it's still going in for a legitamate call.
