Do you think it could be low oil level in the gearbox? Do you notice it if the clutch pedal is depressed? or it doesn't matter the position of clutch pedal?

I've only driven one 6-speed, but with only 400 miles it was still quiet. I will ask a couple of my club members with manuals if they have noise issues once they were broken in. I can say no manual I have ever driven was silent, they all make little noises to some extent be it a whine, chatter, whatever. Oh, btw, the warranty doesn't extend to the clutch and pressure plate. If you smoke yours, there are heavy duty units available now that will take the abuse. I think Chrysler underestimated the torque these Hemi's make.

I think it is just the ears playing games...once the exhileration was over I heard so many noises on my 6 spd..(not to mention the complaints of the skipshift) then I thought of the noises my A833 made in the past....NOW that was noise...These tranny's are pretty much bullet proof...ONE THING THOUGH...the two stage clutch is not bullet proof...Never "DUMP" the clutch on a two stage set up...Ride it out and it will last forever....P.S. And there will be no wheel hop issues.....JTBF..(just the basic facts).Steve

Do you mean a "shallow whine" ??? If so, totally normal....Think of the sounds that come out of transport trucks gear boxes!!!! I've found alot of people aren't used to the two stage clutch as well...Wheel hop etc. Seems that people are blaming everything on the rear end suspension, tranny mounts, as far as wheel hop is involved though... on the 6 speed, YOU CANNOT DUMP THIS CLUTCH....It must be feathered in....
