Left out this morning and had a great run to San Antonio to meet up with Ghost for the install of the new exhaust for ZoSo. After measuring twice, Ghost cut the openings for the tips and Carlos cut off the old tailpipe and muffler.

The new Magnaflow 1 to 2 muffler is fit
    $ZoSo 1-11#04.jpg $ZoSo 1-11#05.jpg $ZoSo 1-11#07.jpg
Sam the pipe bending artist then takes over and using his eye and a
piece of wire multi-directional bends the pipe for the right side and
    check the tip for fit.

Then to the left and everything is tacked into place. It been about an
hour to this point. With the bending done Carlos begins to weld it all
into place and adjust the hangers. With that done we have the completed
    2/1/2 from under and behind.

I would like to thank Ghost, Dragon and Viking for your help in getting
this mod done. I don't think I have the right equipment or knowledge
to post a sound clip. I will be running with Ken and Chuck this weekend,
maybe they can help me with that. I would recommend this to any SE owner.
It is exactly what I wanted and will enjoy turning heads from not only the
great look of the Challenger but now the sound.

Bet it sounds great! Think you'll be happy with the sound, tho it does seem to make u mash the gas more just to make it sing!

Oh what a damn tease! Maybe Chuck you can help him out with a vid?

Congrats on the new sound Hess! It's one of the vital components to me in the enjoyment and thrill of owning a muscle car!

by the way - the spacing on the tape for cutting is 17" left and right from the CENTERLINE (NOT the edges) of the center tape line and then 8.5" for the actual cutouts. I use a veneer jigsaw blade and then smooth the edges with a flat screwdriver (knock off the balls of melted plastic)

ps Hess - glad Laurie liked it :)

BTW - Hess can attest that Sam is a just a plain WIZARD when it comes to bending pipe - heck, half the time - Hess and I were just standing there going "How the H-ll does he do it"

Pretty clean looking job. X4 on wanting a sound clip. When I was a custom exhaust man in another life, people would stand by the bender and ask me the same thing. If they only knew how much pipe was wasted in the learning process LOL! After a few years, it's actually stored in your memory and muscles from repitition.

It sounds like a real car. Lori said when she heard it "now it sounds like what I always thought it should, thanks Ghost". Since she is the one that drives it every day, I am glad she likes it. It now turns heads, not only for the great looks of a Challenger, but now for that great sound too. I sent a email to Dave of my cell phone recording but I can't figure out how to post it. I will be with Ken this weekend, hopefully he can help me with a clip to post for your review. Sure don't sound like a Honda anymore.

That looks great! Great job on the pipes and it looks like it was done at the factory. Nice sounds I bet? Maybe I can find a dealer around here to do the same to my car. I hope that someone will do it for under $500 for the entire install!

Seedoo - there were two objectives when I designed this system

    1) that it did NOT sound like a Honda - which to MY ears the commercial systems do - this one gives you a low pulsing rumble

    2) total price installed - $250.00 (presuming you have a used pair of R/T tips at around 50.00)

so far we have hit it every time :)

Seefree, if you want to build a sleeper, DO NOT DO THIS INSTALL. Its not set up to sleep, its set up to let em know you just passed them.

Now it sounds like I'm driving a Challenger instead of a Honda. It really bugged me following a Toyota or Nissan that had duel tailpipes with my car having super quiet single tailpipe. Highly recommend this mod to anyone with a pre-2011 SE. Ghost has produced an inexpensive, well thought out upgrade/modification with this one. I look forward to Dragon, Ghost and more Viking mods from GDV/SA.
