this will just be sitting on the engine as I do not have the cover mounts yet.

that looks GREAT with the chrome, after the show this weekend
post up the comments you hear about it.
im sure there will be many:cool:
Dave, I know you're gonna be shocked, but I put my engine cover back on! With the cooler temps headed our way, it won't be a factor, plus it covers the catch can hoses.

Jack
:bigwow: WOW, you should have it painted anyway for shows though.

Although that is a nice piece of nostalgia, it doesn't work for me. It seems to be out of place and out of its era. No insult intended. Some things just aren't for everybody. I'm looking at getting rear window louvers. Talk about something out of its era! But I like the look; as I'm sure you like yours.

i am totally in to the old school look and love thinking of new ways to make this 09 in to the 70 that it was for the most part styled after but
louvers are where i would draw the line, i know they were the tint of their day but i just cant get past that look, maybe if the back window was raked at a steeper angle like the mach one mustang back in 71-73
i just didnt like the look on the shorter back windows.

in any case thats the best part about being individuals,we can like and dislike things without being told what we have to like and dislike.

"for now" fortunately we live in a country where we can express it.
The brackets for mounting this on the engine came in yesterday. So now this is a fix item on the engine. I don't have to carry it around in the trunk anymore for shows. :thumbupleft:
that looks like the Infinity G35 cover mod - correct??

I LIKE THAT ONE!!!

I had one on my old 66 Nova SS... "if you value your life as much as I value this car don't :cussing: with it."
BTW....rich. I remade the rear bracket for the cover. All I did was get some thicker stock aluminum strapping and cut a piece about 1 inch longer than the original bracket. bent it justlike the original but it is longer, works like a charm now and much more sturdier. I may remake all the brackets with the thicker stock and just use the others as templates.
FINALLY got my greasy paws (shut up STONEWHITE!!) on a PAIR of 5.7 engine covers - am cutting one up for mock-up - will post pics

tucking 10.00 ebAY CATCH CAN and two 13 LED strips up under - might turn out to be a mod to interest other SE owners
tucking 10.00 ebAY CATCH CAN
$10 ebay catch can???? being the cheap SOB that i am i have to ask how well it works and what one did you buy?
Hey - the prices on OUR parts is just plain BS!! I acttually spend a lot of time researching - try this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Oil-Catch-Tank-Can-Kit-DODGE-CHARGER-SRT8-300C-NEON-RED_W0QQitemZ270486408254QQihZ017QQcategoryZ6778QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m444QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DCRX%26its%3DC%252BS%26itu%3DSI%252BUA%252BLM%252BLA%26otn%3D5%26ps%3D63

and if you want WAY cheaper lowering springs/strut tower braces - found those suckers as well :)
