    I can shift my m6 scat out of gear into neutral without clutch.. no effort. Is this normal, bad for tranny. Etc

    In really simple terms .... The clutch disengages the transmission from the engine and doesn't have anything to do with being able to shift to neutral. Bad noises though if you're moving and try to shift to the next gear without the clutch.

    There is a "reverse lockout" that prevents you from accidentally shifting into reverse without the clutch.

    no problem, most gearboxes allow you to shift out of gear on a coast down unloaded trans. just don't try to engage into next gear
